Good news. I finally tracked down a self serve car wash where I can wash the bike. Since I live in Manhattan, there aren’t a lot, if any, options for me to properly wash the bike. It’s the Spotless Car Care Center located on River Street in Hackensack, a few miles down from exit 66 of 95/80.
I went there this morning to wash off all the road salt from the past week. With the temperature below 20°F, they’re weren’t many people washing their cars. I imagine, though, that this place is probably packed during warmer weather.
It was pretty treacherous. The bay floors were a sheet of ice. I don’t recommend using the “pre-rinse”. It had some sort of pink chemical that raised the freezing point of the water and would immediately freeze on the bike. The regular water was okay but I had to wipe it dry very quickly.
In addition to self-serve, they also have a lube center and a full-service car wash.

Hi Rudy,
I had a couple of questions which I will post here because the captchas on the other pages were not working correctly.
1) Which parts of the bike are safe to scrub and wash down?
2) For your TEC rear shocks, did you also purchase the center stand kit from TEC?
